Residents of the City of Yankton expressed interest to City leaders in relocating the bulk water fill station that was located in scenic Riverside Park along the Missouri River. Large trucks are frequent users of the facility and residents felt this type of traffic should be kept to a minimum in the park. The City reached out to Banner to help select a new site and design a new facility. Banner completed preliminary layouts of multiple facilities and completed truck turning analyses to determine the feasibility of each site. Our multi-discipline approach was a perfect fit for this project as each of our departments held a significant stake in the project. The Structural Department, both structural engineers and architects, completed the design of the building structure, Civil/Municipal and Water Resources completed site and utility design, and the Surveying Department completed legal, topographic, and construction surveying.
