Banner provided the planning/design/construction phase services for the original Aberdeen WWTF.  Changing permit conditions and aging equipment necessitated the phased upgrades.  Major project components for the Phase I Improvements included replacement of 6 screw pumps, pretreatment equipment replacement, BioFilter equipment replacement, construction of 4 new aeration basins with new new blower building and blowers, replacement of 2 final clarifier mechanisms, and UV disinfection equipment replacement.  Major improvements for the Phase IIA project included a new chemical feed building and equipment and process monitoring and control system.  Major improvements for the Phase IIB project included the addtion of Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) process, replacement of 2 primary clarifier mechanisms, as well as replacement of boiler/heat exchanger equipment, pipes and valves, and sludge pumps in the digester process.  In addition, improvements were made to provide asphalt paving of the City's equalization basins.
