Yankton Water Fill Station

Yankton Water Fill Station

Location

Yankton, SD

Previous Next

Residents of the City of Yankton expressed interest to City leaders in relocating the bulk water fill station that was located in scenic Riverside Park along the Missouri River. The facility's location meant large trucks were frequently present in the park area; relocating the facility would bring that traffic away from the park. The City worked with Banner to help select a new site and design a new facility. Banner completed preliminary layouts of multiple facilities and completed truck turning analyses to determine the feasibility of each site. Our multi-discipline approach was a perfect fit for this project as each of our departments held a significant stake in the project: the Structural Department (structural engineers and architects) completed the design of the building structure, the Civil/Municipal and Water Resources departments completed site and utility design, and the Surveying Department completed legal, topographic, and construction surveying.
