Deuel Area Development, Inc. (DADi) is a volunteer organization of local residents who work to spur economic development in Deuel County. Several years ago, this organization conducted a community assessment that showed Clear Lake was in need of various forms of housing. The development corporation asked Banner to study a potential property to determine its feasibility as a residential development. Upon completion of the study, Banner used our expertise in land development to complete a subdivision layout to optimize the land use and provide residential lots that have all the infrastructure required for new homes. DADi applied for and was a recipient of a USDA Rural Economic Development Loan and Grant (REDLG) funding package that allowed the plan to become a reality. Banner assisted DADi through the zoning process, completed plans and specifications, solicited bids, and provided construction contract administration services. Banner also assisted DADi in developing covenants for their development to ensure new properties maintain property values within the development. In the end, DADi was able to offer 16 lots for sale for both single- and multi-family homes.
