Sanford Vermillion Medical Center underwent a three-phase $14.2-million expansion and remodeling project. The project included the addition of a drive-through ambulance bay, pharmacy, and laundry. The emergency department also expanded, and a new area to house outpatient services was constructed. The front entrance, laboratory space, and clinic space were remodeled to meet the current health care trends and needs. Banner provided subconsultant services for the topographic survey, civil/site design, and construction staking for the project. Utility improvements included water distribution, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer improvements including a roof drainage collection system. New parking facilities, ADA-compliant sidewalk and parking improvements, and a new patient drop-off area were also included in this project. Banner also assisted with zoning and easement needs prior to construction with preparation of preliminary and final development plans.
