How Employees Give Back
Banner supports Feeding South Dakota and Feeding Brookings through our food drives and volunteer efforts. Our team collects and donates food, participates in food sorting and packing, and assists with 'drive-through' distribution. Volunteers pack food boxes and distribute them in the parking lot, helping individuals and families experiencing hardships.
Banner supports the United Way in the communities where we live and work. Banner contributes by matching employees' contributions.
The Harvest Table provides a hot, no-cost meal to those in need every Monday night. Banner has volunteered for a meal every November since 2009. Banner employees volunteer by bringing grocery items for the meal and/or preparing, serving, and cleaning up. Additionally, staff donate non-perishable food items and toiletries that are distributed to those in need.
Banner partners with Project Joy to bring gifts to children in the Brookings area community. Our team generously donates gifts annually to this wonderful organization, helping families in need during Christmas time.
Banner also gives back to STEM programs such as SDSU GEMS and the READY SET-GO! CAMP to introduce science, technology, engineering, and math to area youth. Banner supports these missions by volunteering at seminars, programs, and gift bag giveaways.

Banner supports with financial donations to (partial list): Boys and Girls Club, Special Olympics, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), Jr Achievement, SD Youth Board, Boy Scouts, Safety Town, Youth Business Adventure, Hobo Day and Sioux Falls Ice Sports Association.
